About Nikola
Nikola is a Workplace Relations and Safety Lawyer providing strategic advice and solutions in response to client’s workplace relations needs.
Nikola was admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria and High Court of Australia in early 2016 and also holds a Certificate IV in Human Resources. Prior to joining HR Legal as a lawyer in 2018, Nikola gained a wealth of experience assisting employers in the retail, timber, hardware, hair and beauty industries with a range of employment law matters including award and enterprise agreement interpretation, wages, contractual arrangements, dismissal disputes, discrimination, performance management and more. Nikola has also previously worked in commercial law undertaking employment law, intellectual property, franchising and corporate law matters.
Nikola is passionate about assisting clients in adapting to constantly evolving and changing workplace laws and practices. Drawing on her experience working within different industries, Nikola provides strategic advice that is tailored to her client’s particular circumstance. She enjoys delving into the differing aspects of a workplace, an employment relationship or dispute to reach a mutually agreed outcome where possible.
Nikola is also a strong advocate, and regularly appears in matters on behalf of clients before the Fair Work Commission, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and various State Courts and Tribunals in all issues arising out of the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and the contract of employment.
