The Fair Work Act was not written with COVID-19 in mind, and there are unprecedented situations facing employers.  This webinar will help answer some of the main employment law issues and in particular how the Australian Government’s JobKeeper program works. We will also discuss some best practice ideas to support staff during this time.

The webinar will cover:

Practical considerations and legal obligations for employers, including:

  • Who is eligible for JobKeeper
  • How “JobKeeper” works
  • What are the changes to the Fair Work Act for employers who qualify for JobKeeper
  • What employers and employees need to do to access the subsidy
  • What happens if employees refuse to comply with JobKeeper enabling directions

This webinar will be presented by Georgie Chapman, Partner at HR Legal.

Our webinars are delivered free and online, we encourage questions from participants at any time during the webinar. We also run polls and questionnaires to keep you engaged and interacting.
